It’s not a big thing over here in Europe.
But, it is changing…..the kids are seeing more and more Yank TV so it comes in like a cancer.

I used to get drunk and go to Alderley Edge with my Witch of a GF at the time. She flew me there.

So here I am, with the responsible job of university lecturer….. dressed as a clown… or more to the point, the Heath Ledger Joker…

How many students (and other staff) rose to the challenge of turning up at an airport dressed as a psychopath?….. none. 🙁

There’ll be no trick or treating – it’s begging after all…. No need to disturb anyone else, just have some giggles with my kids. I don’t think the staff at the local supermarket will appreciate the three of us turning up in facepaint though… we’ll see in the next hour! 😀

I also fall into the ‘misery guts’ category. Wouldn’t miss Halloween if it was abolished one little bit, just an excuse for the scrotes to be scrotes.

Whilst I love going clubbing, halloween just brings out all the pr1cks in their costumes of anonymity, so it’s probably a night to avoid 🙂

American tradition I can do without![/QUOTE]

A pressure washer and an air rifle work make a good second line. We don’t really get any trick or treaters around here except for a few young kids with their parents and they aren’t intending to do any tricks.

The “trick or treat” name may be a US import but in Essex we have painindarse init.

The “trick or treat” name may be a US import but in Scotland we had “guising” a long time before that. Same thing, different name.

Me too Paul, although the wife persuaded me to not to have my original idea of ‘F**k Off Pikey Chavs’ stuck on our front door. :dev2:

No and I have a nice big sign for my front door saying “No Trick or Treat,Do Not Knock at my Door”
