The day before the FAA museum I was at the tank museum at Bovington.
The remains of a Hamilcar Glider are on display with a Tetrach tank on board.
Only vaguely aircraft part there I am afraid….

Inside the Bovington Hamilcar is a wooden aerofoil shaped object which looks like it could be part of the Hamilcar’s flying controls. However, having had cause to repeatedly look through the Hamilcar’s Illustrated Parts catalogue for the passt two years I cannot reconcile the item to the Hamilcar.
Anyone know what it is?

As the reply and discussion was not the expected one thanking me for taking the time to post images — I had a further look through the pics that I had.
I apologise for the comment that the Hamilcar was the only aviation related item.
To err is human and I am more human than most.
Look behind the gaudy Tigers head.

I was at Bovington last Oct, and I don,t remember seeing that. But am going down there again soon, and try and get some better/different shots.

You ought to look up! – there’s a Skeeter in the same hangar as the half and half Centurion…….
