I’m not talking. Every time I say something serious it goes in the line book.

P/O Whitecross going out to a party.
I always go out looking rough. It gives the others a chance.

P/O Burroughs 2 minutes after entering the mess. Conversation about Lozenge in bad weather.
P/O Whitecross ” Only a lousy being could get down in this weather.”
P/O Burroughs ”Gee, someone like me”

Argument concerning Bofors gun
F/O Hook to Sgt Mathews – ” Why wasn’t the Gerry who bombed Sick Quarters brought down”?
Sgt Mathews – ”Because I wasn’t there”!

The padre to F/O Davies as he is about to pinch his beer;
” I’LL SOCK YOU”

P/O Burroughs ”I wanted to put MAGNIFICENT on my identification card but they put down – Build- Normal”

Thanks Rob – I was keeping track of numbers to see if it was worthwhile.

By the way, I’m still talking to you, but only just – the MB5 is my favourite
a/c. I have rooted out the in house brochure MB produced back in the seventies – will pass it to you next time we meet.
