Hampshire's Aviation History

I am the owner of a recently launched website featuring amongst other things the rich aviation history of Hampshire. My aim was to add as much knowledge as I had, my links to Southampton airport are quite strong, and the hopefully get other snippets of information added by readers of the articles.
If you have any first-hand knowledge I would be very pleased to hear from you.
Kind regards, David Moldon website http://www.agentsmart.co.uk

I assumed one Dave was the other, now I know better.

There are a lot of us around!……When I was born(during WW2) my parents wanted a name that was uncommon so chose David….as apparently did many thousands of other parents around 1942…. at school I was but one out of 6 Davids in a class of 30 kids ( 15 boys)!

Ah, that would explain why daveg4otu’s contact e-mail address is on the Supermarine page. I assumed one Dave was the other, now I know better.

Nice site – however it is usual to ask before copying whole chunks of someone elses website…

For instance this..

http://www.agentsmart.co.uk/blog/aviation/supermarine-aircraft/

copied from this (including hotlinking to the images hosted on my own site.)

http://daveg4otu.tripod.com/ah1900/suprod.html

See also this..
http://www.agentsmart.co.uk/blog/aviation/portsmouth-airport/
and this….
http://daveg4otu.tripod.com/ah1900/asportprod.html

I believe information is there to be shared – but straight copying is not really the way to do it ….and it is good manners to ask first.

Hi David,

I came across your website a couple of weeks ago while doing one of my regular Schneider Google trawls. Looking good! Very nice material, especially Leonard Snaith’s flight log from 1931.

Cheers
