Hi all,
on my current crash site, 99% probable HP Hampden, I found a lot of parts only with the beginning part number “GR”. Maybe someone can confirm that this is a part of the part number from the HP Hampden ? It´s my first HPH crash site and I have no other parts in my archive from this type of aircraft…

Hello Nils
Regarding your Hampden part numbers,
52261B9 is part of the leading edge detachable nose from the wing.
52344L2 is a part of the electrical system (which bit I do not know ).
The other numbers are wrong as Hampen part numbers have a maximum of three numbers after the initial “52” with a letter which denotes which section of the aircraft the part comes from.
B is wings, ailerons, slats and flaps
C fuselage
D undercarriage, wheels and brakes
E flying controls
F tail unit
H powerplant, fuel tanks ect
K electrical wiring
L electrical equipment
Q armaments bomb and gun gear
Hope this is of help.
John.

Cees,
thanks for your posting.
I know about this number, but the problem was that the part number I have found, have a break to the next number behind the first part.
Now I could clean carefully the parts again. After 12 years of researching it´s the first time for me to had a problem to find the right part number…
Here now the complete part numbers I have found after cleaning. Between the first and the second number is a break of partly 4cm !
GR 63433 52261B9
GR 88661 521476…
GR 89376 527907
GR 28752 52344L2

Hi Nils,
Any pics?
The Hampden was the HP52 so all partnumers start with the 52-prefix
Cheers
