Handley Page Herald Blueprints

Just had some pallets of soggy paperwork arrive at my warehouse which was suppoesed to contain the maintenance paperwork for an aircraft. Imagine my surprise to discover it contains, amongst other things, the blueprints for the components of the Herald.

I was brought up to the sound of these aircraft and would like to keep them myself, but I havent got the room. Im not going to burn them yet (I run a business so I have to be fairly mercenary with and I will need the space soon) so Im asking now if anyone is interested in giving them a ggod home. They will require a lot of looking after.

The last picture shows how they arrived and I am going through it at the moment. I am expecting more stuff soon and it may well contain more.

Thanks for the replies…e-mails have been sent..I will let you know what happens.

Even better is that the person who does the contact info for the HP association lives just around the corner! I drive past the address on the contact page every day that I go to work.

Im not just going to turn up with a bundle of soggy paperwork however, just in case the other half is anything like mine. I only got away with having an engine nose cowl in the back garden by saying it was for a hot tub!

Never ceases to amaze me what a small world it is!

The Handley Page blueprints for the Hampden, Halifax etc. are in the care of the IWM. Why not contact Harry Fraser Mitchell of the Handley Page Association? He saved them from destruction and presented them to the IWM.
Let’s keep everything together I would say.

Cheers

Surely, due to the link they have with HP, the Museum of Berkshire Aviation would take them off your hands?
