Two seater is being advertised on the Hawker Restorations Website
So is a 50% share in, Mk1 V7497 G-HRLI, which according to Hawker Restorations, flew from RAF Kenley which according to them is in East London……:highly_amused:

Yep, the two-seater Hurricane project at Hawker Restorations has been around/reported on for a while, said to be based on the identity of the Brooklands-built Hurricane L1886/RCAF 323 (shot down/crashed in November 1940).

I believe that has been there for a while and they already had an airframe being worked on for it.

I really like the IIb configuration with bomb carriers and hope it stays like that. SEAC or desert scheme would be good maybe?

Russian markings would make a nice change

If they are removing the bomb carriers, perhaps she will become a MKIV with rockets?

They have that on build already by all accounts! It would be a disgrace if they butcher it into a two seater!

My bet is the emergence of the two seat Hurricane often talked about!!

Such a nice aircraft! Photo shot at the Oostwold Airshow 2015 in the Netherlands.

I would love to see a Hurricane MKIID flying with the underwing cannon fitted.
Vickers 40mm “Tank Buster” configuration in desert colours.

My odds are she will emerge in North Africa markings? With cannons?

The Facebook page of ‘Hawker Hurricane Survivors’ states –
“Although we have known for some time, we can now make in public that the Hangar 11 Hurricane, G-HHII “BE505” has been sold to Hawker Restorations Ltd. She will be moving from North Weald to Elmsett from where she will emerge looking very different to her familiar “Hurribomber” configuration.”

PT gave us a wonderful show on the 70th anniversary of the Amiens prison raid over Hunsdon airfield. What made it even more worthwhile is that the aircraft carried the squadron markings of one of the Typhoon squadrons who escorted the Mosquitoes to Amiens in 1944.
Agreed Denis, and to steal a short line from the Battle of Britain film, it was a case of – “Well done Peter!”
