A most talented man and an amazing career.

With books written by men such as him there’s so much more happened than the words portray. He’d be the first to admit, I’m sure, he’s had more than his fair share of luck too.

I had the immense pleasure of meeting him at a lecture in Chester a couple of years ago, nothing was too much trouble.

Many Happy Returns Capt. Brown.

It says in the article he has a MBE,OBE & CBE and when getting an award the king said ‘not you again’ to him.

Either way a true hero.

Indeed I can think of many less deserving Knights. It is possible that it has been offered and turned down, of course. His contribution to aviation is inestimable.

I had the privilege of meeting Captain Eric Brown last year, and not only is he one of the finest pilots who ever lived he is also a true gentleman. If Britain was a country that really valued its greatest citizens he would surely have been knighted by now.

He is certainly one amazing man. A national treasure!

In the post only yesterday I received a brilliant Foreword for my next project from the man himself. Thank you, Eric.

And from me too, not that I can profess to knowing him, but had the great pleasure of meeting him once. A truly inspiring man!
