I’d like to say happy 40th birthday to Monarch Airlines which made their first commercial flight on April 5th 1968 From London Luton to madrid with a Bristol Britannia 175 turbo prop Aircraft,to the current day with 31 aircraft. Monarch Airlines was formed by Cosmos and Airline engineering limited (known today as Monarch Airlines engineering) 1967.
Congratulations to everyone who works for Monarch with upholding such a successful independant airline!
