Great, great band but the two times I’ve seen them live the night has been pretty much ruined by the sound being absolutely terrible. Hi-hat three times louder than the snare, no power whatsoever in the low end (not good for a driving band like them!) Be interesting to know what it’s like now!

Great gig, great sound Paul. My only complaint was that the stage right guitar and keys were lost in the mix a little bit. No problem with the drum sound, hi-hats were audible not unbearable. Something happened in the final encore though, a loud bang and both vocal mics failed. No bother though, the crowd kept singing and the band kept playing. Eventually they presented a little Spanish acoustic to a lady in the crowd for making them a nice cake on the first night of the tour which started in Glasgow and ended there last night.
Really, really great performance and one of those gigs that will last in my memory for years to come ! 😀
Now then… somebody pass me an alka seltzer ! 😮

Haven’t seen them since Stornoway town hall, 1995. I’ll let you know how the hi-hats sounded later Paul.
Oh look, two tickets for Ned’s Atomic Dustbin at the Shepherds Bush Empire tonight, just wafted through my letterbox !!!

It is a Celtic curse, translated roughly as “May the cat eat you, and may the Devil eat the cat.”
Yep, and the language would be Irish gaelic. :dev2::p

Sadly not, I’m afraid I’m currently in dispute with the ticket agency who despite six months notice have failed to post me any tickets. 😡
So tonight, it’s off to see The Saw Doctors at the Glasgow Barrowland instead. 😀
