The Hawker Hurricane designed by Sir Sidney Camm took off on its first flight on November the 6th 1935.

I wondered why I’ve had a sudden urge to read,watch, and think more about this wonderful aeroplane in the last month or so!

Love the Hurricane! My favorite British airplane by far. Happy birthday to the Hurri, and many thanks to the genius that was Sir Sydney Camm. In my opinion he created one of the most important weapons to Allied victory in World War II, and I don’t just mean during the Battle of Britain.
One of my favorite examples is the Shuttleworth Collection’s naval variant.

RAF museum Hendon have events focussed on this anniversary; this weekend 7th/8th.
