Yes, start work at 0515am on Christmas Day and New’s Year Eve, 0530am on Boxing and New Year’s Day!:(
Sadly I do not have an “other half” yet…whilst its nice in some sense, it can get pretty lonely at the best of times.
Still I have me, myself and I to entertain, so all is not lost…!:)
You are starting earlier than me then. At leat I don’t start till 0645 and as far as I know I’m not working Boxing Day .At work 27th off 28th and workin 29th through to 2 Jan. That is aas the plans stand at the moment but things may change yet, they often do. At least bank holidays are double time.
Fair enough Denis I have to say that I don’t find it the same since the kids grew up and left home.

Heathen:D
:DI just cant do the Happy holiday coca-cola santa claus cheesy glitzy commercial christmas type thing. We much prefer a traditional yuletide type affair that does not seem to go on for weeks…or months. A nice dinner on the day, a token gift each and to be with the people who matter counts more.

Anyone care to spare a thought for those people that are working on Christmas/Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve/Day, it would be much appreciated!?
When I left school, for about 5 years thereafter, I worked every Christmas Day. Surely the most enjoyable day at work! Time and 1/3 and no supervisors looking over your shoulder!

Are you then? I know I am. Oh well it keeps me out of the other half’s way and stops us arguing.
LMAO Mike have fun π I don’t have that c*ap anymore thank god.:)

I should qualify-not having a pop at you JP Viera, its the wider picture I’m talking about!
No problem. I think that everyone can wish it the way it wants: hollidays just includes more.
And besides Chritmas is not forgotten (take a lot at the aircraft’s serial ) π
