Harrier GR.3 Tech Pilot Notes Publications

Does anyone here have any APs, technical manuals, or Pilots Notes for the Harrier GR.3 that they are willing to sell, copy, or let me have some kind of access to at all?
1982 onwards would be absolutely ideal, but I realise I can’t really be fussy about this, and anything would be appreciated.

I’ve tried the official channels and drawn a blank with them.

Many thanks in advance, James

Sorry my bad Dean, thought it did say AV-8B!

Dave is spot on in what he says. But I really do want to be GR.3 specific because of rolling map, laser nose and other bits, also wanted to be specific on age as lots of mods were in place by ’82.

However, beggers can’t be choosers!

Dean,

No the AV-8A is broadly similiar to Harrier GR.1/3, except things like the moving map are only fitted to RAF aircraft, whilst other parts such as throttle box are standard

What James means is, the only thing in common between so called first and second generation Harriers, is the name, the name of the engine, and the fact they go up & down…!!

Prototypes/Pre=production = Hawker P.1127 / Kestrel FG.1

First generation = GR.1, T.2, GR.3, T.4A/N, T.8, T.60, AV-8A, AV-8C, AV-8S Matador and TAV-8S, FRS.1, FRS.51 and FRS.2

Second generation = GR.5, GR.7, GR.9, T.10, T.12, AV-8B and EAV-8B Matador

I think thats all ?

Ahh, sorry. Is the AV-8A totally different too? I only ask because there’s an AV-8A manual on there.

This any use ? AV-8A I know, but must be some similarities

Absolutely no use what so ever I’m afraid, the GR.3 dosen’t share anything in common with the Harrier II (AV-8B GR.5 onwards).
The APs for the second generation seem really easy to come by, but I still can’t find anything for the 3.

Thanks anyway

Got to thank Dave very muchly for all the tech info so far, but really hoping to find more GR.3 specific. I can’t believe how hard it is to find the info, similar story with parts.

I did , but have moved them all on.

Bruce

And i’ve copied and sent the relevant parts to Pagen already, but they were GR.1 pilot’s notes and James is after GR.3 layout.
