Harrier II (Plus)

I had a few things pop into my head regarding the AV-8B Harrier II+ and I was wondering if anyone could help me with the answers.

Cleraly, the focus of the upgrade was the incorporation of the APG-65 radar, and while I understand that both Italy and Spain utilize the AIM-120, the USMC doesn’t seem to carry the weapon on their Harriers despite the capability being there.

My question is this……what is the radar used for on USMC birds if the AIM-120 is not normally carried?

Also, how many wing hardpoints on the Harrier II are wired for carriage of the AIM-120 and AIM-9? All six or just the four outboard most hardpoints?

I have seen one photo of an AV-8B with eight hardpoints and six AIM-120 plus two AIM-9 (AIM-9’s fitted on the two extra hardpoints that seem only to be fitted to British GR.7’s and GR.9’s), but with the AV-8B only have six hardpoints, I’m wondering which ones are wired for AMRAAM and Sidewinder.

Also, are any other missiles carried besides AIM-9, AIM-120, and the AGM-65 Maverick? By any of the operator nations?
