Just in case no one has seen it,on e-disposals website the former RAF careers full size harrier GR7 replica and perhaps more importantly Harrier GR1 nose section are available for tender! Closing date is 4th January 2011,surely there will be interest in these pieces?

To be fair to the disposals office wallahs I think they mean the cockpit section is a Harrier I (GR.1 & 3), as opposed to a Harrier II (GR.5 onwards).
It’s GR.3 XZ135 and is a real beauty, it’s a must have I would say and just wish I had the money for it right now!

Go to e-disposals,find tenders,open this you will find poor HMS invincible,scroll
To bottom of page,there you will find harrier replica. Open the link ,go to additional specifications and open tender documentation.I think it’s page 4 where you will find a picture of both aircraft.

re;
presumably they are getting rid of the Harrier in favour of a Typhoon replica? I have fond memories of both, the replica is quite convincing and powers up by the mains.

Having no knowledge of the values of these sorts of items what might they fetch? I ask only out of curiosity.

It’s a typo, not a GR.1 nose section.
Click the link below, then on ‘Additional Specifications’ then open the uppermost PDF entitled ‘Tender Documentation for photo’s.
