The HARS (Historical Aircraft Restoration Society) C-47 Dakota, this is one of two stationed at Albion Park Airport, Wollongong which is south of Sydney.
Both C-47’s are sister ships A85-94 and 95 respectivly and were two of the last four to serve with the RAAF.
Enjoy

You should see her now Feather, she looks a little sad, but a lick of paint would fix that, 95 looks really good. Can’t wait for the hangers to be built down there, get them out of open air storage.

-94 successfully completed a recent circumnavigation of Australia. Not a bad feat for an old bird!
G’day 😉

As an AIRTC cadet in SA we would get rides in the Dak’s on our camps at Edinburgh.
We were always sure that the ARDU pilots would take bets as to how many cadets they could get to spew.
Great planes gone to a great home.
