Harvard G-AZSC

Hi does anybody out there have any pictures of G-AZSC either current day or in past years (previously 43-13064, FT323 (RAF), B19 (Royal Netherlands AF), PH-SKK, G-AZSC) for me to use on my website – non commercial purposes.

I’ll happily PM people with details for those that can help….

Cheers

One of the photos of G-AZSC at Middle Wallop is mine but I don’t remember an e-mail. I’ll check though.

Yep thanks for that thunderbird – I sent them all messages through airliners before i even posted on here. I’ve heard back from a couple of them, but not all.

Try these, contact the photographer by e-mail they are usually happy to have their work used as long as it is credited

Its owned by Goodwood Road Racing Ltd now, it flies fairly regularly from Goodwood Aerodrome in West Sussex. They’ve recently tied up a bit more with Plane Heritage Ltd, a pleasure flying company based on site.

Hi Fournier,

Those were the days when a trip to Blackbushe almost always found something “unusual” on the ramp… I remember coming across the following at various times in the seventies and early 80’s …P51, B 17, DeH Drover, DeH Comet (Ex Dan Air), Ex RDAF Hunter, B25’s, demobbed Spanish CASA “JU 52s” and Dakotas….

Hi Fournier,

Somewhere i have a photo of ‘ZSC at Blackbushe in a blue with gold cheat line scheme (IIRC) would date back to around 1974/75 I guess – it was parked on the apron at Blackbushe alongside a number of more exotic types such as the then recently imported SeaFurys (G-BCOV/BCOW), and Doug Arnolds Spitfire 16. I think the Haydon Baillie T33 Black Night was also there that day too.

Quality will not be brilliant as it was shot on cheap 35mm film, with a cheap camera, but I’ll try and find it (when I’m back home later this week) and scan it if you’re interested?

Also, does anyone know why Doug Arnold sold her and then bought her back again after 3 years? He must have enjoyed SC’s company somewhat, but when you consider all the other planes he had his hands on – you wonder why?

Yes not too sure on the markings though – definately post war with the red stripe in the stars and bars – can anyone help with a unit, or theatre of war for this scheme?
