Is/was Kjeller connected with the RNoAF Air Material Command? Or am I mixing things up?
Best regards
No, you are not mixing things up..! The AMC is the alibi for
keeping the airfield/air base.
The runway is military property, but is used for GA as well.
However, the politicans say that as soon as the AMC is packing things up and move away, the runway will go with them.. and the area used for city expansion.
They call it development….

Very interesting wingnut. I didn’t know you had so many vintage planes at one airfield in Norway. It looks like a great place with a lot of nice planes.
I am shurely interested in more pics from the collection at this airfield in the future.
Thank you very much.

Kjeller is the cradle of aviation in Norway as a matter of fact. The oldest field in the country. Wish the authorities would recognize that and act accordingly!
To Will J, here is another shot of the C-53 at the SHF airshow at Torp AFB in 1993. The polishing cloth brigade had just finished work!

That is a good picture wingnut. It’s nice to see a pic from (the distant) norway for a change. Where there any more classics there at Kjeller that day?
Thanks for sharing.
