My understanding is that Rolls Royce are putting up their MkXIX Spitfire PS853 to welcome the the Concorde to Filton. Scheduled to depart LHR late on the morning of 26th November it will do a quick whizz round the Bay of Biscay first

I hope one of you guys with a max zoom digital can catch the moment and post. 🙂

Great photos, folks….that’s how the Concorde SHOULD have been sent out, WITH HONOR….

I read the other day where one of the nose cones has sold at auction for over $500,000!

Just for info, I think BBMF put a Spitfire up with Concorde along the white cliffs as well. Not sure if it was “P7 or AB” I think the Major was flying the Spitfire. A beautiful image of two of the finnest aeroplanes in the world.

I do believe it was actually 1986.

I have the BBC program of it on tape somewhere.

Nice to see thanks. I was in Germany at the time and never even knew that it had happened until now. If I needed reminding why I like this forum that serves as a good reminder
