Has anyone had their voucher from Duxford yet

I Just wondered if any of the vouchers being sent out after the cancelled Sunday Display at Duxford in September have been sent out or recieved yet.

Will we see another ‘Cold War’ jet theme then? this is due to Meteor, Sabre, and T-33 being on the list.

Yippee, my £5 discount voucher has just come through the door, very nice design to, complete with covering letter, what an expensive exercise, I feel guilty about sending off for it now.
Presumably the Eagles will do one pass trailing behind the KC-135, unless operational priorities get in the way, which is the usual story these days.

Prior to sending back my receipt, I phoned Duxford and suggested that instead of going to all the administrative trouble and expense why not get a simple exchange by handing in the receipt at the gate on the day. I was told that the descision had been made and that was that, they weren’t that keen on my offer of a stamped addressed envelope either, how many returns could that be, 5000 ? or more, sorry, distracted by a low flying 747 doing what looked like an attempted wing over right over the village.
Haven’t got the ticket though.
Moggy, I see from another thread that you’re off to Rougham today, would like to have gone but have to finish some drawings for tomorrow, hope it’s more fun that the wet, windy and cold effort that happened last year, even the exhibitors were trying to get out as I was trying not to get stuck in the mud gettig in.

Hardly going to bring JDK over for that

Nothing less than the much promised Sunderland aerobatic team with a 22 aircraft loop and ‘Joker’ Walrus flowen by our own G-KEST will do. 😉

Oh, but if it’s SUNNY, that’d be a different list. 😀

They don’t call it Ducks-ford for nothing.

Cassutt Racer Pair & Cosmic Wind
DC3 Pair
de Havilland Leopard & Hornet Moths
T28 Pair
F86 Sabre & T33 Shooting Star

Something a bit different. Plus the Aerostars who are always good value.

No Hurricanes? Shame, was thinking of going, but can only go to one airshow for the next 10 months or so

Dont feel too sorry for the IWM,they have all our money in their accounts and even if 50% of the people claim and get the discount they won’t lose by it,i doubt if 25% will claim.

If it increases attendance, at what is usually a fairly quiet show, then it’s good for IWM in any case. It’s better to take someones ticket money at a discount than not at all….

 I never said it was their fault, they offered a discount on receipt’s sent back to them for the next display, i was merely asking if anyone had received their vouchers yet.

Fair comment.

Napier must have more money than sense.

To be fair to Duxford the weather is not their fault. I will be paying full admission in October as I think it would be unfair to claim from them if its beyond there power to do anything about it.
