The historic aviation connection is limited to the Luftwaffe delivering a sound and light show in the background, but I am interested to know if anyone has seen this WW2 film that was released last year. It pretty much bombed at the box office, yet it is astonishingly good entertainment.
My view is that it was a marketing failure.
It will be available shortly on DVD etc

I watched it on plane, enjoyed it

My wife and I watched it and liked it a lot: it had the feel of a ’50s film, which is not a bad thing.

Don’t think so – mainly locations in Wales and at Pinewood.

That’s the problem with films aimed primarily at British audiences.
Was any filming done at Duxford ?

I was meant to be an extra in it

Thought it was excellent. Good performances all round especially from Gemma Arterton and inevitably Bill Nighy. Didn’t know it had bombed – critically well received.
