Having drooled over it at Duxford yesterday, I was wondering if it had actually flown yet?

With the number built, and their extensive use, I’m a bit surprised there aren’t a few more out there.

Late 1930s – some of the ones sold overseas, and civil aircraft, were surprisingly long lived (albeit re-engined)

It seems to me that a ~2 year wait after completion of a type “new” to the UK register, to allow the paperwork to catch up is pretty frequent. Witness the Fury I (which was ages from completion to display debut) and the current lull with the Biggin Hill 109e. Patience is the order of the day I think!

When I last spoke to the engineer working on the engine he thought September might be realistic but don’t treat that as gospel.
