Has the Variable Geometry wing gone out of style? Years ago it was thought the VG wing was the way to go, with most of the manufactureres trying at least one, ie General dynamics with F-111, Grumman with F-14, Rockwell B-1, PanaviaTornado and Mig, Sukhoi and Tupelov. Now nothing… Was it cost ?
