A pair of Hastings wings including one from TG536, a Hastings burnt at Catterick for fire training in early 80’s, have been loaded on C-17 for transit to the Halifax restoration project at Trenton. Both wings appear to have been prepared and crated in Yorkshire. The other wing is marked as TG568. 536 has camouflage on the upper surface, maybe from its time with the Halifax project at Elvington.
”On 14 December, the panel was removed from long-term storage at Cosford and transported by road to Thirsk, north Yorkshire, where the steel shipping cradle needed to secure it on the journey to Canada will be constructed at the premises of Maddison 4×4. A corresponding port outer wing panel, obtained earlier in 2023 in a trade with the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington, has already been prepared in its cradle.”
