Regardless the outstanding game provided yesterday night by the REAL Madrid and MU , I was impressed by the audience when Ronaldo went off.
He got a standing ovation from the Brit audience and I guess that is something that one can only see in the UK.
Hat off !!!

Hi,Shearer to replace Robson? hmm…..
Gary Speed maybe? If Middlesbrough can keep up their home form and improve on their away goal record, then they’ll be contendors for atleast Europe next season..
Someone earlier noted about the fall of ManUs domination , well am glad about that too.
I really hope so about the Boro, as they are my team.

It’s looking that way isn’t it? I reckon Sir Bobby’ll keep on going for another two years, three at the outside, at which point Shearer will be about ready to quit playing. Whether he’ll be able to cut it managerially is another question – I think his best bet would be to go in as player coach at first, but that’s dependent on how long Sir Bobby keeps going. As for Newcastle’s future, look at some of the kids they’ve snapped up in recent years; Jenas, Lua Lua, Ameobi, Bramble – all quality players even now, and none of them are the finished article yet. If those kids stay at St James’s, the Geordies will have a world beating team inside four years.

They would have been a major force 10 years ago if Keeeeeeegan hadn’t abolished reserve football.

No point building around Beckham, he’s not staying. Neither is Giggs, and I reckon Keane’s only got another two years max before his knees give out. We’re (thankfully) witnessing the end of ManYoo’s domination of the English game. And don’t think Arsenal will take it on either – cast your eyes north east, Newcastle are going to become a major force in the next few years as long as they can hang on to all their kids.

Perhaps. But Utd are a club on the wane. Barthez, Ferdinand and Keane form the spine and the first 2 have become bad players; Keane is getting too old and has lost some of his fire. They need to build the team around Van Nistelrooy and Beckham. Maybe sell Giggs and Forlan to raise cash.

I think in general besides all the bad press the English football supporters get, the majority would rather see a good game and have their team loose than watch a poor game.
Veron is very over-rated and £30m for Ferdinand what a waste of money.
Becks is one of the best passers of the ball in the game, though on his day I think Jamie Redknap is just as good. It was another Fergie master stroke keeping Becks on the bench until the second half.

Definately, great game of football, Also very very sporting of the ManU crowd wrt the applause for Ronaldo.
Why the heck did Fergie sub Beckham on so late, Veron was not at his best throughout the game, maybe Beckham sould’ve been subbed at the start of the second half…
But I also like the Milan-Ajax game.. Van Der Meyde was simply superb!
