I know there was a lot of recent discussion about possible overkill on the airshow photographs that appear on this forum, and the various pros and cons about photo threads but I for one would like to thank all those who go to the effort of posting pictures on this forum for doing so, especially after the excellant weekends flying we have had – there are some absolute cracking shots to be found on these pages and, as someone who did not make it to all these shows I am extremely grateful that those who did could find the time to download pics, edit them and then post them to the forum. I use a digital SLR at airshows and often the last thing you want to do when you get home is sit in front of the pc editing endless pics
Thanks to all!!

Take big hats off especially, as they block the shot all too frequently.
Out of interest, did anyone see the bloke/expletive deleted sat up against the crowdline fence at Kemble on Sunday, just left of the taxiway with the massive green umbrella? It must have been eight feet wide. I hope he heard me call him a “selfish ****”

I’ve said before how much I appreciate those who post photos on the forum. It dosn’t matter if there are loads of, for example, OW threads. If you’ve had enough, don’t open the thread. I always find interesting photos to view because people stand at different places on the crowd line, and use the lighting and backdrop to great effect.
Can’t get enough!

I agree that the pictorial contributions on the forum are appreciated. I take great delight in browsing through the many offerings. I have not moved into the digital age yet as my old Canon T80 still has capabilities which I have never found reason to explore in over 20 years of use and a good digital with similar capabilities is still around £500 which I cannot afford at present (especially when the old T80 is still working OK). The other half would never agree.

Yes I echo these sentiments. Well done everyone, perhaps there ought to be a picture/photographer of the year on these forums held in November through to end of December. :p
