In January of this year I was decorating the lounge at an aunt’s bungalow, the two bedrooms, bathroom and lounge are all accessed by a single long hallway with the two bedroom doors being at the far end of the hallway and directly opposite each other, they were firmly closed when I entered the bungalow, all outside doors and all windows were closed so no draft could be responsible for what follows, I’m in the lounge stripping wallpaper when I hear a noise in the hallway, not a bump or a bang but somewhere in between, I stick my head out the lounge door into the hallway only to see both bedroom doors now open!…………….
I’ve got one or two more interesting ‘experiences’ but I’m being beckoned by a cold frosty glass of beer so maybe later.

I’ve never seen a ghost, and I have to say I’m a bit sceptical, but… I did have something happen earlier this year which I have yet to find an explanation for.
I live on my own, well, me and the dog, and one morning as I was getting out of the shower I heard a loud thump from the bedroom. When I looked in there I found the top drawer from my unit was lying on the floor, and the dog was sitting silently at the top of the stairs staring into the bedroom.
I’m certain that the drawer was shut when I went into the bathroom, and as the drawer was the top one of four, is quite wide and has small round polished wood handles, I’m also certain that the dog could not have inadvertently pulled the drawer out by walking past it.
To this day I have no idea what happened. To make it even more confusing, popular ghost stories would suggest that such things send dogs a bit crazy and that the air turns cold. Neither of these things happened.

Yes, we had one at a former abode. It’s favourite game was to move things around the house and touch you behind the ears when you were in bed. Our cat used to love it. Turned out to be that of young chap who hung himself in the back bedroom in the late -60’s. 😮
I’m fascinated by ghost… but only when its a bright, sunny, summers day with lots of people around 🙁
