Thank you all for the most constructive replies, the differences
being much more than I expected.
I hoped to build up a RAAF example…but that Skysport machine
is Superb.
Any leads on the actual instruments or 6a/ 5/s numbers etc, would
be useful.
Thank you all.
Regards Mike

Here is a picture of the Hawker Demon cockpit based at Old Warden.
Nice pic, Mauld! It’s notable that there’s more differences than similarities between the period RAAF machine and the Skysport restoration, which I’m sure is also accurate. The questions are, how many different Demon panel layouts were there, why and when?

Apart from the excellent suggestion by James, why not contact Tim Moore at Skysport Engineering as he quite recently rebuilt a Demon and would almost certainly be in a position to have that specialist knowledge.

I hope you have a copy of Alex Crawford’s book Hawker Hart Family which we published?

This is an RAAF Hawker Demon (RAAF Museum Archive). We also have (IIRC) an image of the Skysport restored Hawker Demon’s panel in the book, which I arranged for.
I’m not sure if the RAAF Museum archive has drawings of the panel – if you drop me a PM with your details, I may be able to fit it in on my next visit.
Regards,
