Hawker / Gloster Hurricane Part Stamp Numbers Etc

Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of part stamp numbers lettering etc on Hurricane parts I think Canadian ones were part numbered CCF but have no idea on Hawker/ Gloster built Hurricanes but a guess would be H for hawkers and G for Gloster but that is my simplistic mind.
Thanks in advance

Like I said; the G5 prefix relates to all Gloster-built airframes and is stamped on the specific component.

The two stamps in ellipses are individual Inspector identification numbers.

Typhoons have a similar part number system to hurricanes, but tend to be 6 digit. The G5 and HA in circles or ovals with a number are not part numbers….sorry to be pedantic!

As mentioned; the stamped part numbers for Gloster-built airframes always began with G5 (They’re all over our Typhoon cockpit.)
The Inspection stamps proper are as follows…

The part numbering system is the same regardless of whether aircraft is HA, Gloster or CCF. Hurricane part numbers tend to be A, B, C or D followed by 5 digits. The majority of part numbers start A.

If you have a specific part number and want it identifying, I do have a Sched of spare parts which is huge!

The part will have a stamp to indicate who made it…..HA with a number for Hawker. G5 for Gloster and CCF for Canadian Car and Foundry
