Hawker Harrier GR3 to New Zealand

I’ve just been told by one of the new co-owners, John Skeen, that they have bought Hawker Harrier GR3 (XZ129), and it will arrive in New Zealand just after ANZAC Day (April 25th).

The aircraft will become a static feature of the Ashburton Aviation Museum in Ashburton, South Canterbury.

It will be quite an interesting addition to NZ aviation museums.

John is also building his own Oxford cockpit by the way.

He’s bought a good quality airframe I should think.
If it is the one I think it is, it’s dressed up like a Sea Harrier 🙂
