Hi,
I am compiling a list of Hawker Hart family survivors.
I have the following;
RAF Museum Hendon, Hawker Hart and Hawker Hart Trainer
RAF Museum Cosford, Hawker Hind
Shuttleworth, Hawker Hind
RAAF Museum Australia, Hawker Demon
Swedish Air Force Museum, Hawker Hart B4
Canada, Hawker Hind
UK, Hawker Fury (replica)
Aero Vintage Hawker Fury I, Hawker Audax, Hawker Hind, Hawker Nimrod II.
Duxford Nimrod/Osprey?
I’m sure there’s more.
Attached photos are, Cosford, RAF Museum, RAAF Museum (copyright Craig Busby) and Swedish Museum (copyright Lars Qvarfordt)
Can anyone complete the list and include photos?

2 ex-IAC Hawker Hector fuselage frames are stored in Kildare, Ireland. I know the chap who is reported to have them and he all but confirmed it to me.

Thanks for the update Cloughjordan hector.
Did find out some information about two more surviving airframes recovered in Dundrum in the early 90s. No idea what’s happen to them now. It appears ones was IAC 88 the other is unknown.

The Hector at Cloughjordan was the sole survivor as far as I know. The forward fuselage, but not the internal bees nest, went I understand to Viv Bellamy and eventually to the Demon at Skysport. There were wings as well at Cloughjordan, functioning as gates.
So, turning it into a Demon must have meant finding different wings, as the Demon upper is swept and the Hector’s is straight. Or are they interchangeable, I wonder?
The Hector’s distinctive engine mount was clearly to be seen, so now must be waiting somewhere for a Dagger to appear.
Other Hectors in Kildare? Very unlikely.

That’s great to hear some have survived. Be awesome to see one restored and put on display.
Interested to find out what happen to one at the saw Mill.

I raised the subject of the Hector seven years ago (q.v. https://www.key.aero/forum/historic-aviation/122492-hawker-hector-avro-cadet-simmonds-spartan-the-legacy-of-cloughjordan-sawmill) but it didn’t elicit much response. If you google hawker hector cloughjordan, you’ll find a number of references to it.

Hawker Australian Demon project here in Melbourne, Australia, scheduled to fly August 23rd, 2035.
Australian Demon structurally similar to Hind (and Hartbees), larger wing loading than original Demon. This Australian Demon is also a ‘Tesco Trainer’ retrofit from a standard Aust Demon after the RAAF developed a habit of writing off their fleet.
Most work here is on wings and materials, subterranean foundation building, no pretty pictures. Thousands of drawings found and digitized, thousands of new CAD drawings created. Wings the main focus. Biggest issue are materials : DTD54a/BS S88/SAE 3315 wing spars and 3% nickel alloy T50 tube in thin wall. You can get modern tube but the walls are thicker. The Hart biplane restoration story is all about access to materials of construction.
Some Hector remains here too, mainly engine mounts, what was left after tube transplant of Irish remains to current UK flyer. Just needs a Napier Dagger and the Elephant Man of the Hart biplanes can rise again.
Plenty of work required to get Kestrel engines going. Someday it will all be on FB.

There is also a new build Hawker Fury under going restoration at Vintage Wings of Canada in Gatineau Quebec. It is part of the Michael Potter Collection and came from George Neal who also built the Hind at the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum. It is to be restored to fly.

I have a rather nice general arrangement drawing in a frame of a Hart 2 -drawing number E.20140 which I want to dispose of. Anyone on this forum have ideas on value or can recommend a suitable auctioneer? Picture attached

The remains of up to 16 individual Hinds recovered, including 2 engines and 4 center section. One of the more complete center sections is the only known Hind twin seat in existence.
Some parts I understand may have gone to the Southern Hemisphere to assist in a rebuild, the last I heard most of the haul is stored in a location a few miles from Cirencester.
There was a good website detailing all this but I can’t seem to find it and a few years ago the owner was a keen participant of this site.

I believe that there is a Demon here in Australia in private hands. Being restored to fly I think?

And the two Furies underway in the UK, one at Brooklands and the other one by the Cambridge Bomber and Fighter Society. Aren’t both using substantial wreckage?

Kartman, one missing from the list is a Fury in Canada. The Canada Aviation and Space Museum’s Hind was restored by the late George Neal, ex dehavilland Canada test pilot. In exchange he acquired one of the Afghan Fury projects and a Kestrel. George passed 2 years ago but just prior he sold the near completed project to Mike Potter of Vintage Wings of Canada. I am unsure of the current status as it is quite low profile or whether it is part of the VWoC collection.

John
