For this years CockpitFest at Newark, we (the owners) are hoping to get as many Hunter cockpits together as possible. Ideally we would like to have all the marks represented. My own straw pole of owners would suggest the following, If anyone has a Hunter cockpit and is not already down to go, please pm me. I am hoping that we will put them in order and and have a leaflet detailing history of each. Obviously this would be a superb photoop to Hunter modellers and afficionados.
F1 – ok
F2 – ok
F4 – at least 2 available, owners need cajoling!!
F5 – ?
F6 – ok but Lots available,
FGA9 – ok
GA11 – ?
T7 – ok
To get 10 would be nice! 🙂

I would love to take my Hunter too, and that is my aim. I’m desperately trying to get it into a state fit to display though as, at present, it just isn’t safe – too many exposed cut edges, sharp bits etc. where it was chopped. Time is in short supply but I’m going to give it a damned good try. If all else fails and I can’t bring the cockpit I’ll construct an information display showing the history of the aeroplane etc. and display the bang seat, mannequin with appropriate flying kit, models, photos etc..

It would be great if you bring yours too…..I am putting together a small display of associated stuff to go with my display.
I have put something on the ICC Forum too.

Tony, I’ve had a go at MT regarding his F.4 several times but I doubt he’ll be attending to be honest. Pity.
What are the chances of Robertsbridge being persuaded to bring their ex-Walpole F.5 do you think?I’ve got the latest confirmed attendance list now so I’ll put it on the ICC website and add your potential Hunter list as well.
