Does anyone have any colour photographs of this Hunter when it was under Spencer Flacks ownership.I would be very interested in copies.

Digging through my old photo collections, I’ve found a further shot of G-HUNT at Biggin, and a shot of G-FURY and G-SPIT at Mildenhall, I didn’t take these so I cant be exact about time and place.

Hi Chris,

I’ve just found a couple of shots of G-Fire that were taken at Duxford in 1988, I’m also pretty sure that I have some G-HUNT shots around somewhere too. I was so inspired by the livery chosen by Spencer that I even built a 1:48 scale model of G-FURY.

Hi
This was my avatar for a while.
Andy

Dear Andy,

Would you have any more photos of the three warbirds together? I would be happy to give you some more of them if you want. They are scarce now and it would be great to show his grand kids one day

Tbirdman.
I really do believe this picture was taken at OW.

After thinking long and hard about this,I have to agree that the three ship flypast WAS at Old Warden. As I`ve stated before,I only had an interest in a few planes, and the type I was interested in just didn`t turn up there.Loads`a fairly interesting “old stuff” but nothing to get too excited about compared to Mildenhall in it`s hey-day!My kind of planes don`t take off or land on grass !!!!!!
So I went along with my usuall mates for ” just a nice sunny afternoon ” watching a few planes, but with NO camera gear !.Just how did I feel when my most prized planes appeared 😮 I had to rely on my very good friend Stuart Clark for the picture of the three ship formation that is soon to be posted. 😮

Is Stefan Karwowski the same ‘Stefan the Mad Pole’ who flew Hunters for S.O.A.F in the ’70s?

Don`t get too excited as a lot of these pics are very close-up intended for modelling purposes.

You may cause even more excitement among some who are more interested in that kind of thing too…

G-HUNT/FIRE/FURY

Hi guys,as some interest has been shown,I will arrange to get my old pics up and running ( thanks to Andrew March ).Have got a more level shot of all 3 ships similar to the “avitar” but showing the smoke pod on G-FURY and a drop tank on G-HUNT.Also 1 colour and 8 b/w of G-FURY with the cheat line starting behind the cowling.
B.T.W. a couple of the pics of G-FURY have a Blue Herons tiangular sticker on her port side. This may help in dating the photo`s.Don`t get too excited as a lot of these pics are very close-up intended for modelling purposes.
Catch you later
Barry

EDIT
Have just noticed that ALL of the close-up pics ( 22 colour ) of G-FURY have the cheat line starting behind the cowling.

Elstree.

Both the Hunter and the Spitfire were restored here. The latter was based here but the Hunter made the one take off and was based elsewhere, possibly nearby Leavesden.

She flew to Cranfield on the 1st flight & i think was based there. I remember reading about Spencers 1st flight in her from Cranfield & he forgot to turn the powered flying controls on, so he took off & went straight ahead for abit. Must’ve been before Shredded Wheat was available as he had a right struggle getting turned around. 😀

IIRC, Tim Allen pops up here from time to time. He now lives in NZ.

Hi guys, sorry to but in,but I can remember a time that I was fanatical about G-FIRE.I found out that Spencer Flack ran an “haulage/repair” company based out of an airfield,Barry
