Hi all,
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but it would answer at least one question! XX466 as of last Thursday now resides in Gloucestershire, it was shipped to Poole Harbour and I went down to collect it with a very good friend of mine ☺
Richy.

Ah yes……. the well known pre-rehearsed “Tower I’ve hit a bl**dy Landrover whilst attempting a rather bad landing on the grass” emergency drill….. :diablo:
Gawd that was one hard landing – broke it’s back it did…. :diablo:
Very good Pete.:diablo:

You’ve got no chance of getting 578 at Kemble, she is used for emergency drills by the resident fire crews and as Delta Jets operate 3 T-Birds, you’ll find that she is serving a very good purpose.
Near enough bang up to date shot of her.

The dates refer to the ‘last noted date’ which means the last time we had a report of their continued existance at this location.
The photo’s are a bit older, XL578’s was taken after a Kemble open day in in 2006 (by me). The one of XX466 provided by an enthusiast at Guernsey, taken a couple of years ago IIRC.

sorry 😮 i missed that, but presumably that it means they are still in situ? or somewhere closeby?
