Appears to have ground looped
the one that killed
As far as I know, aircraft do nothing until people get into them. It happens that people do things to aircraft that may get them killed but not the other way around … … right?

Report and photos.
This is an ex Iraqi AF plane and was the one that killed Charles Hillard in 1996.

Usual problems are stressed U/C and bent wing tip.
And in this case judging form the photos a fair bit more, unfortunately. Nothing that can’t be repaired, but not an easy repair. RH gear leg bent outwards and forwards, partially ripped out. Prop strike, engine probably shockloaded. Both wings struck the ground and have damage. Port gear leg collapsed.

I doubt there will be a full report since there were no injuries, the NTSB will release a ‘probable cause’ statement based on the pilot’s report to them.

The dreaded ground loop strikes again! Be interesting to read the full report, wouldn’t mind betting a reasonable crosswind didn’t help matters. All tail draggers regardless of type are susceptible hope the damage is not to extensive.
