During all my years of research into the typhoon I have never found any reference to any being handed over to the pakistani air force….saw on flea bay recently a private modeller who is selling a built Typhoon model painted in pakistani air force colours…he states that :-
‘after the end of the war a lot of typhoons were pensioned off and this machine was one of 16 that ended up as 5 squadron RPAF , out of Peshawar, when the country became independant as a result of the partition of india in august 1947 . only 4 machines actually went into service’
News to me…could he be referring to Tempest Vs? or is this just another mistake and it was only ever Tempest IIs?

Another respected Indian source has confirmed that the PakAF did not operate the Spitfire…but tantalisingly:-
…”never operated the Spit or the Typhoon, although I do have a pic of a yellow and black undersides Defiant and Vengeance at Ambala 1947.”

PAKISTAN AIR FORCE ALSO OPERATE SUPERMARINE SPIETFIRE MK VIII
Sorry NDI, they never operated the Spitfire either. All the Spit pics you come across are from the RIAF days.
The color profile you posted seems to be someone’s fertile imagination.
(The only way I will believe that a Spit flew with the PAF is either a photograph or a logbook entry)
