This year I am thinking of making my first visit to Headcorn Aerodrome for the Combined Ops event on 17th & 18th August. Looks like it will be good, and also the museum to visit.

In addition to the above confirmed displays it has been announced this week that…
This years show will see the unveiling of Lashenden Air Warfare Museum’s very rare Fieseler Fi103R-4 Reichenberg (piloted V1 Doodlebug flying bomb) which returned to Headcorn Aerodrome this week after a 5 year restoration in Germany. The “flying bomb” will be displayed in a marquee at this years show for the very first time since its restoration and is likely to attract plenty of attention.

Thanks for the link, photos and feedback Elliott, much appreciated. I enjoyed reading the review of the show and viewing your photos (thank you for sharing), and I am looking forward to going along to the event this year for my first visit to Headcorn.
It does look very good value for money and it was also very useful having some feedback from a photography perspective in the review. 🙂
Thank you

It’s a good little event, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed! I visited Combined Ops for the first time in 2012 (indeed, that’s one of my photographs on their website…) and had a cracking day. Very good value, considering the low entry fee.
My full review of the day can be found here – http://www.globalaviationresource.com/reports/2012/airshows-uk-headcorn-combined-ops-review/index.php
I’ve also attached a few photos as a little taster…
