Its on ITV 4 again at 8pm tonight
Check first however…
I did start watching it the other day but could not face the bit where they trashed one of them. However when you watch the sequence of take offs for the training mission where the future Cornation Street Bloke (name escapes me) takes off on his last flight there is a shot from the cockpit looking back at the airfield and an Avro Shackleton plainly sat on the ASP!!
Or am I just suffering from a little too much Xmas spirit???
I know it was filmed at Bovingdon so it is possible
Cheers

Well, there is a Canberra in “The Dambusters” – and a couple of Lincolns !! 😉

Shack was probably right enough – given that they also famously feature Landrovers too – slightly out of the timeline too….. 😀

One of my all-time favourite movies! 😀
(And the actor’s name you’re looking for is Johnny Briggs. I remember the Channel 4 programme “Top 100 War Films” had an interview with him, and he had the theme tune as his mobile ringtone!)
