Heads up for UK TV viewers!

From the Lincolshire Echo newspaper web site (I wish I could see the programme myself!):

A wealth of RAF memorabilia uncovered in Lincolnshire will be featured on national television today.

The Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre in East Kirkby hosted the Antiques Roadshow in August.

Hundreds of people turned up to have their treasures valued during the day and the first part of the show is to be screened on BBC1 at 9pm today.

But producers of the programme felt they had so much rich material that a second part of the show is to be screened next Sunday.

As reported in the Echo in August, people who took along their items included Jim Brown (73) from Lincoln, who wowed the panel with his autograph book full of signatures from airmen of the 617 Dambusters Squadron.

James “Top Gear” is repeated on Monday or Tuesday evening – starts 7pm.

Actually “Antiques Roadshow” is usually repeated (a week or two after initial broadcast) very late at night in the “sign here” series for for persons who can’t/have difficulty hearing.

Roger Smith.

“Antiques Roadshow” Tonight, Wednesday, at 00.50am on BBC1 from east Kirby – don’t know if the first or the second programme.

Michael Aspel and the team visit East Kirkby airfield in Lincolnshire, where all sorts of treasures are examined and a few wartime memories are shared in the shadow of a Lancaster bomber. [S]

JUST A TIMELY REMINDER TO EVERYONE THAT PART 2 OF ‘ANTIQUES ROADSHOW’ FILMED AT EAST KIRKBY IS BEING BROADCAST TONIGHT (SUNDAY 18 NOV) AT 20.00HRS.

IF IT’s AS GOOD AS THE FIRST PART IT WILL MAKE GREAT VIEWING.
