It is my understanding that BBC Look East will feature MoM tomorrow, Monday. It will include fantastic mini cam shots from the aerial mast, to the rear, as the Spitfire passes through Grand harbour. I have seen the rushes – Wow!
It would be greatly apreciated if somebody could record this to tape or even DVD to make not only an ‘Old’ Spitfire Historian very happy but also the owners of the the two aircraft.

shameless bump, should be on in 10 mins or so if they show it.
🙁 No wonder our TV licences go up,a BBC crew there for about 3 mins filming, even then they froze the props on the planes TUT TUT.

I’d guess we can look forward to being offered a ‘Merlin’s Over Malta’ DVD before too long.
By the way, have I won that car yet? Doesn’t seem to have been delivered. When I bought the tickets the bloke assured me the winner was in there 😉

Loved the bit with the aerial cam where the Spitfire went vertical with the harbour in the background and then rolled.
Just a thought. As bits are being shown on BBC Look East, does that mean we can look forward to a longer programme in the future here in Anglia land?.
Brian
Seems a shame if after all the effort from everyone and having cameras there not to have a documentary made.

A good, well thought through and positive bit of film.
Shots of the aircraft including onboard minicam, interviews including veterans and locals, could have done without the re-enactors rather self conciously mimicking a scramble, but worth it for the shots of the aircraft over Grand Harbour.
Splendid stuff.

Wonderful, absolutely wonderful.
As the spit flew into Valetta harbour, the hairs on the back on my neck stood up.
A big thankyou to all those involved in the Merlins over Malta.
And a bigger thank you to all those contributing too.
Thank you 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 .

Nothing on the breakfast time local news
Have just watched Anglia News but no mention. For those lucky to be ‘working’ at home today try BBC Look East after the main news at 1:00.

As a last resort (and those not in the region)…..
Select website:
Look for this
(bottom right) and it should be available for viewing after the broadcast.
Thanks 1stThings1st.
But don’t forget, if your not in the region and have Sky Digital, go to channel 952 for BBC East W. 🙂
Might even be a piece on ITV Anglia W also, which you can get on Sky if you’re not in that region. 😉
Cheers
