heartbreak

I have a friend who is researching Hunters and Beverleys operating in Aden. He came over after a bbq last night, and showed me this video clip:

I used to be in the ROC with a chap who did overhauls on Beverleys, coming home from Aden,he said he filled 3 toolboxs with tools out of its wing spaces including lump hammers! also enough sand to re-sand Blackpool.

Some time, long ago, I recounted a incident where I had been one of a few suspects of leaving tools in the Beverley wing crawl spaces. The plane nearly came to a disastrous end when a screw-drive jammed the aileron controls. It was later thought to have been there since the aircraft was built. Those same areas where also a good place to smuggle stuff into Blighty as most customs men were over weight and couldn’t get down there. Certainly not for those of you who suffer from Claustrophobia.
