Anybody know if 27L or 27R is being used for landings this week in the mornings?
It should be 27R until 15:00hrs all week.

They are landing on 27R right now. The switch is usually about 3pm, by which time any decent light would be gone anyway.

On thursday the wind comes from the North so really don’t know. The weather report for friday seems to be that the wind is comming from the west so that would be runway 27L/R. Don’t know wich one will be selected first for landing and departing but they switch during a sertain period so that no problem.

I wonder if there would be any info on Heathrow’s website. I do know that there is a significant observer group there whom the Police use to help watch the perimeter fencing.
As far as the weather is concerned, I think light snow is expected in London on Friday and Saturday.

I’ll wrap up 🙂 I’ve got an idea of how to get to the 27 spots from T5. I’m flying down Wednesday evening and flying back Friday morning. Anybody know if 27L or 27R is being used for landings this week in the mornings?

I’m going to Heathrow for the day later this week.
You do know its forecast to snow later this week…?
It may not come as far south as LHR, but it’ll still be bloody cold thats for sure, so make sure you wrap up warm!;)

I’ve been to the spot many times myself, but never from terminal five, so I cannot provide directions. But it’s probably worth bearing in mind that the wind is apparently going to shift tomorrow. If it does what BBC Weather is suggesting, the 27s should instead be in use.
