Robert, great pics and thanks for posting them, more anytime please. I was working in civil aviation at that time….very happy days. I never worked an Iberia DC8-63 but we used to do the Aviaco machines thru Stansted on a Saturday night sharing the flight with Edinburgh to Palma. The Bangladesh Biman 707s we used to see quite frequently on maintenance at STN, nice crews except on one rotation a combination of tech delays and the crew stopping for prayers stranded it overnight….Aw I do miss ’em:)

Brilliant… love the IL62 shot. One of the best looking planes ever.

Dunno about the F28 but I think its the Bangladesh Biman 707 way off in the background.

Looks like a Nigerian Government F28 in the background of the LOT IL62 shot. 😉
And maybe an Arnaflug B720, too?
Happy days! 😀

Robert,
Great pictures, keep scanning!!!….reminds me of my childhood, those were the days when the world was not dominated by Beoing or Airbus. The IB DC-8 was a beauty, have you got any AVIACO DC-8 pictures?
All the best
Si

Cheers Ren, if you could see the state of the negs then I’m quite chuffed what Photoshop has done, got literally 100’s to scan, EDI, GLA and LHR are the main places, unfortunetly some negs are beyond scanning and editing.

Those are great Robert and from the time I discovered the joy of aviation. Let’s see some more of your retro collections.
