The following day I had a lie in and then made my way back to 27R
As the runway change approached I headed back towards Hatton Cross, stopping for a toilet break and a panini at the BP garage. I decided to walk past Myrtle avenue to the next road. I’d seen photos of landing traffic on 27L with the hangars in the background, and thought it would make a change from the usual photos taken from the field at Myrtle. The only problem with this spot is the passing traffic can sometimes block out the landing aircraft, stepladders would be an advantage here.
As a spotter who takes photos, the TAM 767 was the highlight for me.
