dark light

Heathrow 27/12/08 – 09L arrivals.

Headed to LHR with Michael (T5) on Saturday in the hope of some promised winter sun… wrong! Got about half an hour of sun for the start of the day and then a shed load of unwanted cloud!

Also bumped in Adam Spalding whislt there… nice to finally meet ya matey! Hope you came away with some half decent shots.

Here’s a few of the better ones.

Sorry to ask this Paul, but have you and Spalds had a falling out or something, or are you just tormenting him for fun?:o

Haha! Me and Spalds fall out? Naaaaaah. We haven’t fallen out at all and arn’t all that likely to either considering he’s flying up to my local airport for a drinking sesh in a few weeks! 😀

Wow. I love the Continental shot, that is superb.:)

It’s just a shame you had the misfortune to run into Mr Spalding. That’s usually enough to ruin anyone’s day. I try and avoid him at all costs to be honest! :p

the EK 388 would have looked stunning in the winter sun.

Caught it on Sunday in the sun 😉

Fantastic selection of shots Andy – I had a good laugh with both yourself and Michael.

Take it steady and no doubt see you in the new year.

Nice shots..it won’t be long before the A380 is a common sight at Heathrow with Qantas starting in a few weeks

Nice work. 🙂

I went to Heathrow yesterday (the 28th) myself.

The weather was clear, cold and sunny and I took precisely zero pictures.

Maybe next time I won’t leave both batteries for my 30D at home…. 😮

The Continental is a beauty!

Shame about the cloud, the EK 388 would have looked stunning in the winter sun.

Great shots, Andrew! 🙂

Whilst the short days are.. well.. short, you really can’t beat the winter light. That orange glow on most of those shots makes them so much more eye-catching.

Nice work, Andrew! It looked as though the light was very nice indeed while it lasted!
