they are the names of the aircraft. It’s a little picture of a map of where the aircraft is named after. i know one is called “Bay of Plenty” and others are named after various other areas of NZ
Thanks for that. That must be a recent additon in the last year or so, as I don’t recall them ever having when I flew them.
On another note, AC always seem to have a nice lineup into LHR, with the 2 types shown above, along with their 762’s and 763’s.

Nice photos. Anyone have any idea what that little symbol just forward of the first door on the NZ 744 is?

I thought it could have been part of a defensive system, as I recall El Al are supposed to be fitting the BAE NEMESIS to their fleet, if I remember correctly……….

Can I just ask though, what’s the bulge on the El Al 777-200? It’s just over the 2nd door……….:confused:
It’s more than likely for their IFE (in-flight entertainment). Knowing EL AL, however, it could be for something else, communication, or added security device.

A few more
