Heathrow Work Experience

Hi, just a quick question.

I study Travel & Tourism at college, and as part of our unit we must attend work experience. I was wondering if Heathrow Airport offer this option, and if anyone knows what part of the Airport the placement could be.

I looked on the BAA website, but it wasnt very helpful. Does anyone know about this??

Thanks, all feedback welcome 😉

If you live near Den Haag, surely you might be able to work at AMS or RTM As that would be closer. But good luck on your course.

Thanks a lot for all the advice, it would be great to work with Air Newzealand, so I’ll check it all out and keep you posted.

Thanks for the help 😀

Will it not be the same procedures seeing as its a BAA airport? I seem to remember that people without full checks could go airside as long as they were escorted and supervised at all times.

I assume so? I was escorted so, should be fine? Is it specifically BAA you intend to be working for, if not, you could try getting it with one of the airlines

Everyone that was doing work experience at LGW in summer from my school got air side. Myself included. But that was LGW, so i imagine it would be different for LHR? Why not try LGW, LTN, LCY or STN?

I also can’t find anything on their website – perhaps they no longer offer this opportunity or they’ve hidden the info away?

Besides, if they did it wouldn’t involve any airside work (I’d be amazed if they went did given the amount of checks it’d take), only landside so probably check-in duties etc…

Good luck with getting a placement!
