Our friends at the Trident Preservation Society have sent us this email. With the current plan to preserve the Concorde at Heathrow, I agree with Andrew that the BAA and BA should try and actively seek a good home for the Trident.
Do the members of the Forum have any comments and suggestions?
“We are desperately trying to save G-AWZK from the axe and are at present talking with the BAA at LHR about moving her to a temporary place whilst the BA Engineering site is developed, then finding a more permanent place._ With a Concorde being preserved at LHR we (the TPS) feel that there must be space for this classic ‘British’ airliner to also find a place alongside the Concorde.
Please can you help us persuade BA not to break her up and think of a more logical cost effective solution that would save one of the last examples of this great airliner.”
Many thanks and best regards
Andrew Lee
