Heavy Jet Transports

Removing cost, politics, and carrying capacity, between the IL-76MF and C-17A, which is the better airframe in terms of durability, types of surfaces it can operate from, ease of maintenance, and general end user satisfaction?

The IL-76MF has, from what I’ve read, a glass cockpit similar to the C-17A, so that’s about equal, but the other factors are the ones I’m having trouble running down. Comparing the landing gear between the two, the C-17A’s appear somewhat more fragile than the IL-76MF’s, but not having actually seen either aircraft (other than an earlier IL-76 at an airshow in 1991) all I have to go on are pictures.
