Heavy Lift…have they gone bust?

I was talking to someone up at EMA recently and we got onto the subject of the magnificent Shorts Belfast and that Heavy Lift are/were the last operator of this fine aircraft, he then went on to say that Heavy Lift went bust in August, being more concerned with military matters than civil I had not heard this news, I had noted that Prime’s(subsidiary of Heavy Lift) Airbus A300 has been abscent from EMA for some months but just assumed it was busy on charter work, can anyone clarify?

What a pity. Friends of mine that flew the A300 were made redundant from TransAer now appear to have had the smae thing happen again so soon.

RE: Heavy Lift…have they gone bust?

Fact is that Prime, Heavylift’s pax arm has gone bust in August, and Heavylift itself in September. Most of the fleet should be parked at Southend.

I’ve just been on A.net and the most recent photo is of their A300B4-203F taken on Sept 15 at Frankfurt, so who knows?

RE: Heavy Lift…have they gone bust?

I don’t think they have gone bust, their website is still up and running. But the latest picture of them I have found was taken in Jan of this year, and that was on Planepicstures.net.

Im not sure what pictures a.net have, as i am currently unable to get in?

Sorry that I can’t be of more help. 🙁
